Basketball Game Preview: Green Bobcats vs. Dawson-Bryant Hornets

Green has won three straight games at home, while Dawson-Bryant has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Green Bobcats will host the Dawson-Bryant Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Green knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Dawson-Bryant likes a good challenge.

If Green beats Dawson-Bryant with 58 points on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Everything went Green's way against Eastern on Wednesday as Green made off with a 58-38 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abbie Knapp, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 17 rebounds. The match was Knapp's 19th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matti Hayslip, who went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant took a blow against Ironton on Thursday, falling 62-29.

Green's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Dawson-Bryant, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
