Holland Christian came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 44-33 win over the Wayland Wildcats. Given the Maroons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Wildcats are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Wayland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Holland Christian will take on South Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Christian will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Holland Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Wayland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
