Recap: Heston Academy Patriots vs. Alcona Tigers
The Heston Academy Patriots lost against the Alcona Tigers back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Heston Academy took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alcona. Heston Academy has not had much luck with Alcona recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Alcona's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Collin Walker, who scored seven points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Renchenski, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Heston Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Alcona, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Whittemore-Prescott the next time they take the court. Alcona will host Whittemore-Prescott at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Heston Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
