Soccer Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit vs. Peak to Peak

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals will venture away from home to take on the Peak to Peak Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arrupe Jesuit will be strutting in after a win while Peak to Peak will be coming in after a defeat.

Arrupe Jesuit was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Englewood 2-1. The win continues a trend for Arrupe Jesuit in their matchups with Englewood: they've now won four in a row.

Yahir Pizarro and Julian Mata scored both of Arrupe Jesuit's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Peak to Peak unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kent Denver. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Peak to Peak couldn't quite close it out.

Arrupe Jesuit now has a winning record of 6-5-4. As for Peak to Peak, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-5.

Arrupe Jesuit came up short against Peak to Peak when the teams last played back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
