Basketball Recap: Lakeway Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lakeway Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Goodpasture Christian Cougars and fell 71-44. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th in Tennessee, while the Cougars are ranked 13th in Tennessee).

Lakeway Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Goodpasture Christian, they pushed their record up to 30-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Lakeway Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Goodpasture Christian, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Goodpasture Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 games -- so hopefully Harding Academy likes a good challenge.
