Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Rams vs. Sumner Spartans

Rogers and Sumner are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Rogers Rams will host the Sumner Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Rogers was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-44 to Bethel. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Sumner waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They blew past the Tornados 69-12. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Sumner pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.7 points per game. As for Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
