Recap: Franklin Sabers vs. Racine Horlick Rebels
The Franklin Sabers won the last time they faced the Racine Horlick Rebels, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Franklin took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 78-29 win over Racine Horlick. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-14.
It was another big night for Natalie Meaux, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and three steals. It was the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Lauren Capstran, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Racine Horlick, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on Indian Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Racine Horlick, they will be playing at home against Racine Case at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
