Enloe has won five straight games at home, while Cardinal Gibbons has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. On Monday, Enloe earned a 10-5 victory over Leesville Road. The Eagles have beaten the Pride the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pride has come to flipping the script.

Avery Modlin was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Emily Peters was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Lilly Watson, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Enloe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leesville Road only managed seven hits.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons beat Broughton 14-11 on Monday.
Katie Scavone was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Talia Marinaro, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Enloe's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 14-4.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Enloe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Cardinal Gibbons struggles in that department as they've averaged .376. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Enloe suffered a grim 21-7 defeat to Cardinal Gibbons when the teams last played back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
