Irion County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Balmorhea Bears, posting a 71-22 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 games by 20 points or more this season.

Irion County pushed their record up to 29-6 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points over those games. As for Balmorhea, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-11.
