Basketball Game Preview: North Callaway Thunderbirds vs. Hallsville Indians

North Callaway hasn't had much luck against Hallsville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The North Callaway Thunderbirds will take on the Hallsville Indians in a tournament on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

North Callaway is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 57-33 to Father Tolton.

Despite their defeat, North Callaway saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lakyn Hartley, who posted 13 points and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Hartley has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Livia Hartley, who put up six points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Hallsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 58-25 loss at the hands of Centralia.

Hallsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Callaway, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

North Callaway couldn't quite finish off Hallsville in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 46-44. Can North Callaway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
