Football Recap: Fletcher Starts off Right with Win over Ribault

Fletcher took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They took down the Ribault Trojans 27-13. The Senators haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Fletcher's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Diondre Smith led the charge by picking up 68 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Jahmyri Jennings was in the mix as well, providing the Senators with two touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Ribault saw an underclassman step up: freshman Simari Limehouse-Gillis rushed for 54 yards and one TD, and also threw for 69 yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Fletcher will face off against Parker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ribault, they will square off against Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
