Basketball Recap: Warren Warriors vs. Lena-Winslow Panthers
After flying high against Benton last Saturday, Warren came back down to earth. The Warren Warriors came up short against the Lena-Winslow Panthers on Monday, falling 73-50. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
Despite the loss, Warren still got an impressive performance from Bryce VanRaalte, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyton Pafford, who posted 16 points.
Even though they lost, Warren smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Warren moved to 19-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Lena-Winslow, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Warren wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-57 loss against Scales Mound on the 4th. As for Lena-Winslow, they will challenge Orangeville at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Lena-Winslow is facing Orangeville at the right time seeing as Orangeville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
