Soccer Game Preview: Proviso West vs. Glenbard West

Proviso West hasn't had much luck against Glenbard West recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Proviso West is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Proviso East.

Meanwhile, Glenbard West fought the good fight in their overtime game against Oak Park-River Forest on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that Glenbard West have lost by just one goal.

Glenbard West is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6-4. As for Proviso West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17-1.

Proviso West might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Glenbard West in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
