Preview: Spotswood Trailblazers vs. Tuscarora Huskies
The Spotswood Trailblazers's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Tuscarora Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Tuscarora took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Spotswood, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Spotswood made easy work of East Rockingham and carried off a 57-36 win. Given Spotswood's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while East Rockingham is ranked 119th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Tuscarora was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Thursday as they fell 47-41 to Briar Woods.
Spotswood's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.23 points. As for Tuscarora, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.
Spotswood strolled past Tuscarora in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 59-42. Will Spotswood repeat their success, or does Tuscarora have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
