Izard County lost against Sloan-Hendrix back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Izard County Cougars fell just short of the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds by a score of 47-45. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Izard County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Sloan-Hendrix, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Izard County Cougars duke it out with the Harding Academy Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3 points per game this season. Sloan-Hendrix has already played their next game, a 68-59 loss against Riverside on the 31st.
