Basketball Game Preview: East Buchanan Buccaneers vs. Alburnett Pirates

East Buchanan hasn't had much luck against Alburnett recently, but that could start to change on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

East Buchanan is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season two weeks ago. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central City.

Meanwhile, Alburnett entered their contest against Osage last Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Alburnett was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Osage.

Alburnett's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for East Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

East Buchanan suffered a grim 70-45 defeat to Alburnett in their previous meeting back in February. Can East Buchanan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
