Volleyball Recap: Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Central Catholic extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-8. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Findlay Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Irish of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Findlay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since August 21st.

Leading Findlay to victory were Anika Helms and Delaney Harris. Helms had 41 assists and 13 digs, while Harris had 25 digs and two aces. Those 25 digs gave Harris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephanie Ragan, who had 12 digs.

Looking ahead, Central Catholic will head out on the road to take on Southview at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Findlay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Napoleon at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
