Basketball Recap: Ferndale Takes a Loss

Ferndale lost against Marysville Getchell back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Ferndale Golden Eagles took a hard 56-38 fall against Marysville Getchell. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marysville Getchell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Arion Palacol led the charge by going 6-for-14 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. What's more, Palacol also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zach Rice, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Ferndale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Marysville Getchell, their record now sits at 16-8.

Ferndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marysville Getchell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-44 loss against Shorecrest on the 22nd.
