Basketball Recap: Tampa Bay Tech Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Lennard came into Wednesday's contest looking for another win against Tampa Bay Tech, but Evan Clark wouldn't allow it. The Tampa Bay Tech Titans walked away with a 53-46 victory over the Lennard Longhorns on Wednesday thanks in part to Clark, who posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Aamir Stafford, who earned four points along with 12 boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Defeat or not, Lennard got some senior leadership from Makai Hills and Richard Sykes. Hills went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points in addition to five boards and five steals, while Sykes put up 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Hills. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Delvalle, who scored five points and seven boards.

The win made it two in a row for Tampa Bay Tech and bumps their season record up to 7-14. As for Lennard, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Tampa Bay Tech will face off against Plant at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lennard, they will take on Freedom at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lennard is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season.
