Softball Game Preview: Marshwood Hawks vs. Falmouth Navigators

Marshwood has gone a perfect 3-0 against Falmouth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Hawks will head out to challenge the Navigators at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Marshwood couldn't beat Kennebunk on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Hawks came up short against the Rams, falling 17-4.

Marshwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Hester, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another was Laurali Shisler, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Falmouth kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Noble by a score of 11-10. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Everything went Marshwood's way against Falmouth in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Marshwood made off with a 14-0 win. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Navigators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
