Preview: Thomasville Bulldogs vs. Brookwood Warriors
The Thomasville Bulldogs on the road again on Thursday and play against the Brookwood Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Thomasville posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Brooks County as Thomasville made off with a 69-48 win. The win was just what Thomasville needed coming off of a 72-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Thomasville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Messiah Wilson, who scored 19 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Keymon Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Brookwood came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 victory over Deerfield-Windsor.
Thomasville's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Brookwood, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2.
Thomasville and Brookwood were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but Thomasville came up empty-handed after a 56-55 loss. Can Thomasville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
