Basketball Recap: Spring Hill Triumphs

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Spring Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Eudora Cardinals by a score of 79-68. With that victory, the Broncos brought their scoring average up to 51.5 points per game.

Spring Hill found their leader in sophomore Jackson Bruce, who went 11 for 15 on his way to 28 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bruce has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Frigon, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Spring Hill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Eudora, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Spring Hill will venture away from home to square off against Ottawa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ottawa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Eudora, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Eudora Cardinals challenge the Paola Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
