The Saint Francis Catholic Academy Wolves will head out to take on the Lake Mary Prep Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Saint Francis Catholic Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Oasis Christian a 54-0 shutout. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wolves had established a 38-point advantage.

It was another big night for Jake Long, who rushed for 240 yards and two TDs on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards. Another player making a difference was Gabe Long, who rushed for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Saint Francis Catholic Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 356 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Saint Francis Catholic Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Andrew Janelle was especially locked on to Oasis Christian's QB and sacked him four times. Isaac Sherrouse got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Lake Mary Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three last Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-6 win over the Lions. Considering the Griffins have won three matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Saint Francis Catholic Academy's record is now 4-6. As for Lake Mary Prep, their record now sits at an identical 4-6.
