Soccer Game Preview: Chowchilla vs. Sierra Pacific

The Chowchilla Tribe and the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears will compete for holiday cheer at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Chowchilla's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Chowchilla is headed into the matchup having not lost since the second and will look to keep things rolling. They had just enough and edged Firebaugh out 2-1.

David Perez-Borges and Alexy Herrera scored both of Chowchilla's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Sierra Pacific was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Hanford. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Bears have lost by just one goal.

Sierra Pacific's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Chowchilla, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1-3.
