Basketball Recap: Banner County Takes a Loss

Banner County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Crawford Rams, falling 63-40. The match was a close 21-18 at the break, but unfortunately for the Wildcats it sure didn't stay that way.

Crawford was led to victory by Taylor Homan and Rhett Flack. Homan dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 boards, while Flack went 10-for-17 en route to 24 points along with five assists and three steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Homan has scored at least a third of Crawford's points. Payton Horan was another key player, putting up two points and five steals.

Banner County's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Crawford, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Banner County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crawford, they will be playing at home against Hay Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
