Basketball Recap: Coastal Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

While Coastal Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Santa Maria Saints by a score of 69-62 on Friday. This was payback for the Conquerors, who suffered a 69-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Coastal Christian moved to 7-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Santa Maria, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3.

Coastal Christian will venture away from home to face off against Templeton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Maria, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nipomo at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
