Softball Recap: Era Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Era came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Perrin-Whitt Pirates a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Era let Pressly Martindale and Aubrey Schneider run wild. Martindale went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Schneider scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Martindale has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Briar Hollis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Era always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .828. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Era's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Era will face off against Sam Rayburn at 10:25 a.m. on Thursday. As for Perrin-Whitt, they will square off against Chico at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
