Basketball Recap: Williamsville North Takes a Loss

After flying high against Frontier last Thursday, Williamsville North came back down to earth. The Williamsville North Spartans fell just short of the Orchard Park Quakers by a score of 59-56 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Quakers are ranked 89th).

Williamsville North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Orchard Park, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamsville North will face off against Williamsville East at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for Orchard Park, they will challenge Frontier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
