Soccer Game Preview: Pampa vs. Randall

The Pampa Harvesters will face off against the Randall Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pampa is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Perryton on Friday. They came up short against the Rangers, falling 6-1. The Harvesters have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Randall hadn't done well against West Plains recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Randall walked away with a 3-1 victory over West Plains. The win was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 639th, while Wolves are ranked 255th).

The victory made it two in a row for Randall and bumps their season record up to 7-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two games. As for Pampa, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Pampa took their win against Randall in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 4-1. Will Pampa repeat their success, or does Randall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
