Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Patriots vs. St. Francis Mariners

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against University School of Milwaukee, Heritage Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Francis Mariners, sneaking past 75-73. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mariners, too.

Heritage Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Francis only racked up 12 assists.

Heritage Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4. As for St. Francis, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-2.

Heritage Christian will venture away from home to challenge Lake Country Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-39 loss against Milwaukee School of Languages on the 14th.
