Shining Light Academy came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 70-40 victory over the Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Shining Light Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zach Evaro out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Evaro a new career-high. Josh Pyke was another key player, shooting 83% from the field on his way to 14 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Shining Light Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They are a perfect 8-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Shining Light Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.

Coming up, Shining Light Academy will be home for the holidays to greet NC H at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Heat's rather soft defense (which has allowed 56 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
