Soccer Game Preview: Dillon vs. Georgetown

The Dillon Wildcats will face off against the Georgetown Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dillon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Dillon fell victim to Waccamaw and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Dillon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 148th, while Waccamaw are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Georgetown, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Aynor a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Georgetown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by three goals or more this season.

Georgetown's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Dillon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
