Basketball Recap: Lewiston Takes a Loss

Lewiston was the 72-55 winner over Messalonskee when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lewiston Blue Devils opened the new year with a less-than-successful 48-37 loss to the Messalonskee Eagles. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Messalonskee, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewiston will host Oxford Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Messalonskee, they will be playing at home against Mt. Blue at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
