Softball Recap: La Costa Canyon Mavericks vs. Torrey Pines Falcons
La Costa Canyon and Torrey Pines squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but La Costa Canyon had to settle for second. They fell 5-1 to the Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-5 loss last Thursday.
La Costa Canyon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sienna Curry, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
La Costa Canyon has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-11-1 record this season. As for Torrey Pines, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-10.
