Amador Valley lost to Foothill back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Dons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 4-3.
Kaylee Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mai Falcone, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Charbonneau, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Amador Valley lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are 4-1 when they post two or more home runs.
Amador Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Foothill, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7-1.
