Recap: Orosi Cardinals vs. Corcoran Panthers
The Orosi Cardinals suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Corcoran, falling 85-54. Orosi has not had much luck with Corcoran recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Corcoran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javon Bragg, who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 blocks. Bragg is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Fernandez, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Orosi's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-7. As for Corcoran, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Orosi will look to defend their home court on Friday against Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. Granite Hills is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Corcoran, they will head out on the road to face off against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 859th, while Corcoran is ranked 403rd).
