Baseball Recap: Clark Triumphs

Pahrump Valley typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Clark proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 5-1. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Ryland Gregorich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has become a key player for Clark: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Clark saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Diaz, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Clark's record now sits at 11-8. As for Pahrump Valley, they moved to 16-6-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Clark wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Sierra Vista on the 11th. As for Pahrump Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Needles on the 14th.
