Basketball Recap: Master's Academy Takes a Loss

Master's Academy lost against Lincoln Park Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Master's Academy Patriots fell 60-49 to the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Master's Academy still got an impressive performance from Fenel Eugene, who went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jamey Blunt, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Master's Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Geno Ingram had a dynamite game for Lincoln Park Academy, going 7 of 11 on his way to 22 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Ingram a new career-high in points. Tyree Louis also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Master's Academy's record is now 3-17. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they moved to 3-15 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Master's Academy and Lincoln Park Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Master's Academy will challenge John Carroll Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 407 places (794 vs. 387). Meanwhile, Lincoln Park Academy (ranked 699th) will meet Sebastian River (ranked 307th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
