After losing to Bell the last time they met, Garfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs walked away with an 18-8 win over the Eagles on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Eagles are ranked 121st).

Garfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Bell, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 12-4 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Garfield will face off against rival South Gate at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bell is set to challenge their familiar foe Legacy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 9.6, the Tigers 14) so any points scored will be well earned.
