Basketball Recap: Cimarron Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Cimarron, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They blew past the Macksville Mustangs 51-28 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bluejays as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Despite the defeat, Macksville saw an underclassman step up: freshman Daniela Reyes posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Cimarron's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Macksville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Cimarron has already played their next game, a 0-0 tie against Larned on the 25th. As for Macksville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-38 win against Nickerson on the 25th.
