Soccer Recap: Ranchview's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

If Ranchview was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of North Hills Prep last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ranchview Wolves fell 4-2 to the Decatur Eagles on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 479th, while the Eagles are ranked 69th).

With the defeat, Ranchview broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matches. As for Decatur, the win keeps them at an undefeated 18-0-2.

Coming up, Ranchview is taking a road trip to face off against Gainesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gainesville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season. Decatur does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
