Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Solomon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Breken Coup, who threw for 272 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per attempt. The dominant performance also gave Coup a new career-high in rushing yards. Matt Hamm-Jones helped Coup out on the ground, rushing for 126 yards and a touchdown.

Canton-Galva's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Solomon, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
