Soccer Game Preview: Wade Hampton vs. Dorman

The Wade Hampton Generals are taking a road trip to square off against the Dorman Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Wade Hampton's offense. They lost 3-0 to Eastside on Monday. Wade Hampton have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dorman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Gaffney 7-0 on Monday. Given Dorman's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Gaffney are ranked 135th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dorman's offense was hitting Gaffney from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Natalie Schulz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Dorman pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matchups. As for Wade Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
