Basketball Game Preview: LaGrange Grangers vs. Fayette County Tigers

LaGrange hasn't had much luck against Fayette County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The LaGrange Grangers will face off against the Fayette County Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, LaGrange lost to Mary Persons on the road by a 58-40 margin. The Grangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fayette County). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 75-43 victory over Spalding. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-17.

Fayette County's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for LaGrange, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

LaGrange was taken down by Fayette County 70-16 when the teams last played back in January. Can LaGrange avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
