Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Takes Down Florence Christian in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hilton Head Prep had no problem doing just that on Monday. They secured a 43-38 W over the Florence Christian Eagles.

It was another big night for Courtney Campbell, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. Her morning made it 26 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Erin Cleary, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 18 points.

When it comes to explaining why Florence Christian lost, don't look at Emerson Poston. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most points Poston has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Lambert, who had five points and eight boards.

Hilton Head Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. Florence Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
