Volleyball Recap: Riverside-Brookfield Find Success

Riverside-Brookfield posted their closest win since October 19, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Barrington Fillies/Broncos, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Mackenzie Sloger paced Riverside-Brookfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sloger got some help from Demetra Foster and her 13 assists. Foster also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lucy Boyle, racking up two apiece.

Riverside-Brookfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Barrington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Riverside-Brookfield has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Maine South on the 30th. As for Barrington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Geneva on the 30th.
