Softball Recap: Western Beaver Comes Up Short

Western Beaver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 16-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Montour Spartans.

Bella Colatriano (2026) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Squicquero (2028), who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Western Beaver's record now sits at 1-3. As for Montour, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Western Beaver will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Beaver at 4:15 p.m. on April 14. As for Montour, they will take on Ellwood City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
