Little Chute had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 6-2 to make it four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Marinette Marines. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Marines recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

As for Marinette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly two runs.

For Marinette's part, Sawyer Walters made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run was Walters' first of the season.

Coming up, Little Chute will take on Mosinee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marinette, they will challenge Waupaca at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Marines are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
