Softball Preview: Stevens Falcons vs. Taft Raiders
The Stevens Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Taft Raiders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Stevens won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 17-2 defeat at the hands of Harlan. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stevens in their matchups with Harlan: they've now lost six in a row.
Stevens saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malin Salas, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Taft brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past Warren 15-5. The victory was just what Taft needed coming off of an 11-1 defeat in their prior game.
Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Taft, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10.
