Basketball Recap: Daphne Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Daphne had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-5 to make it four. They took a hard 74-58 fall against the Murphy Panthers. Surprisingly, this marked the Trojans' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Murphy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games.

Kinley Simmons produced another solid performance shooting 45% from the field to rack up 19 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cordairus Dixon, who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Daphne will venture away from home to face off against Gulf Shores at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Murphy, they will face off against LeFlore at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
